Insulation glass

Window orifices express the character of the building. They give a stamp to the façade and at the same time they must provide for proper ventilation and optimal lighting of premises. They must also meet may other functional criteria: protect against cold, heat, wind, noise, rain and provide safety.

The same demands apply to glass and glazing. A preponderant part of these demands are various protective functions that can only be provided by modern insulation glass.

due to all of the above, insulation glass is an indispensable part of the façade – the cover of the building. Insulation glass is generally composed of two (tree) mirror glasses. Between the glasses we insert a spacer filled with desiccant, which defines the width of hermetically closed inter-glass space. In the inter-glass space there is dry air. The window is hermitically closed due to the type of production of insulation glass with the system of double sealing. Glass that is produced this way fulfills all the needs for quality that are a condition for at least 25 years of life span.

Heat protective glasses

High quality heat protective glazing contributes to smaller heat losses and enables a more economical use of energy. They are of neutral color, highly transparent for solar energy and visible light and non-permeable for long wave radiations. Such gazing is an insulation glass with optimal energetic balance. With the use of low emission glass Low-e we can economically plan glazing of large surfaces and have a positive effect on the users’ well-being without large heat losses.

Sun protective glasses

Large glass elements of builder’s joinery are an original trend in the modern architecture. The architect and the investor are facing numerous energetic trends: for example the flow of sun energy, where a large flow of light can occur and should not cause the overheating of premises in summertime. At the same time these large glazed surfaces should not cause heat losses during winter. The solution is the installation of sun protective glasses, which are distinguished by high absorption, reflection and selectivity.

Sound insulation glasses

Noise is an important factor that has a large influence on health and well-being. With the most modern glasses that are distinguished by high sound resistance, we can largely contribute to reduction of sound burdening in living spaces. With different procedures and constructive solutions we can improve the sound isolation:
  • With laminated glass,
  • With asymmetric composition of the glass (first glass is at least 50% thicker than the 2nd glass),
  • By enlarging the width of inter-glass space.

Safety glass

Next to heat, sun and sound protection characteristics, insulation glasses can also provide for a function of passive or active security.

With use of hardened glass or any other laminated glass we can add the safety component to the insulation glass. Hardened glass is also distinguished by increased hardiness; therefore it is more resistant against pressure, strokes and temperature changes.

Laminated security glasses

With laminated glass we can obtain very high levels of security, therefore these glasses belong to the so-called anti-burglar glasses according to DIN ENV 1627-1630.

Laminated glass is made of one or more glass (hardened) safety glasses, which are tightly glued together with adhesives of different thicknesses and properties. The adhesive layer between the glasses completely retains the dangerous pieces that could present a danger to people in the case of breaking the glass.
